WHO ARE WE?
Mike (webmaster)
Hello from Mike.
Welcome SamPod Family
Mike has been in love with music all his life, and has had a lifelong fondness for Doris Day for more than 65 years. He knows more about this incredible lady and her music than anyone we know. But his musical knowledge is as far reaching as his vast record/cd collection of the greatest music of the 20th Century, with a particular emphasis on the late 40's through the early 60's. A former English and Theatre teacher, his radio credits include: "A Sentimental Journey with Doris Day and Her Friends" and numerous two hour special programs called "Just For Old Time Sake," both of which appeared regularly in 2010 on internet radio. He currently runs an internet radio station at www.live365.com . It is called "Mike's Music Memories". If you have a music question, ask Mike...he may have the right answer just for you. If not, we promise he will do his best to find out the answers.
Christie Sietos
As a younger Doris Day fan, Christie from Greece/England is delighted to be in the company of Mike, Carol and Janet with whom she can share her love for Miss Day's music and movies. She also admits to be learning a lot about all the treasures presented in this site. She assists Janet in the very technical support of the entire website. Christie is currently pursuing a PhD in Animal Welfare Economics, works as a part-time Teaching Assistant, and she volunteers walking a 9 year old Fran, a sweet Cairn Terrier. Mike calls her a jack of all trades, and a master of all. It seems that everyone on the site is a friend to her, and likes us all right back.
Janet Moore
Like Mike, Carol and Christie, Janet from the Boston area is an ardent Doris Day fan. She takes care of all the technical aspects of the website. Janet has worked in the software industry as an engineer for 25+ years. She is the lady behind the curtain. She is also an avid golfer, martial artist, boot camp instructor, New England sports fanatic, animal lover and learning classical and electric guitar! Feel free to ask Janet any question on the above topics!

Carol Johnson
Hello all my forum friends.
Now, where is the glue?
A Georgia gal, Carol, like Mike, is a long-time Doris Day fan. When she enjoys something, she likes to share that enjoyment with all her friends, either up close and personal, or online in some of her favorite places: websites, forums, and facebook. As a personal, public relations agent, working tirelessly behind the scenes, there are few better. And what's nicer is that she is an excellent listener. She is loyal, with a capital "L", to her friends and favorites, whether they be icons like Doris Day or friends like Mike. Carol serves our site as the in house Forum Administrator. She would love for you to comment and reply often. Let her know how you feel about our site. But she adds: "A little advice...remember to be nice."
OUR WONDERFUL WEBSITE TEAM is what makes the job of running a website a joy rather than a chore. When we began our original site (SAMPOD4U.COM), we were happy to have with us Susan in Baltimore. A year later, we branched out to Christie in England/Greece and to Janet in Boston. We have questions; they have answers and solutions. For us, that makes it the best of both possible worlds. We thank them as both friends, supporters and team workers, as well as fellow fans of the great Doris Day.

AND WE TAKE A SPECIAL INTEREST IN:
DORIS DAY, A LEGEND FOREVER TO US.... SHE REALLY IS SOMEONE VERY SPECIAL:
Doris Day's devotion to the welfare and protection of animals is legendary. In 1971, she co-foundedActors and Others for Animals. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Doris promoted the annual Spay Day USA, and on a number of occasions, actively lobbied the United States Congress in support of legislation designed to safeguard animal rights. She later founded The Doris Day Animal League. Today, the Doris Day Animal Foundation focuses on funding non-profit causes that need help in their work caring for and protecting animals. Click on the red link above to learn more about the important work being done by the DDAF, and please consider making a donation to support this worthwhile cause. This is the "career" Doris has embraced since her "retirement" from entertainment.
The DDAF is now on Facebook. Visit them at http://www.facebook.com/DDAF.org There are other causes we care about, too. How about you? Here are some others:
