Note: Until 1955, all of Doris' albums were released as 78 rpm sets (4 records/8 sides) as well as on 45 rpm sets. By 1955, the releases were on the then new 12" lp. As the earlier albums were re-released in the mid 50's, they were put on 12" lps, and other songs were added to allow the usual 12 or 13 songs. In the track listings for each album (below), where possible we have linked to the song in youtube, so have a listen. If there is no link, try it on youtube anyway; sometimes it does not allow us to copy.

IN 1952 AND 1953, DORIS DAY HAD HER OWN RADIO SHOW. ALTHOUGH IT WAS OFTEN A SHOWCASE FOR CURRENT SINGLE OR PAST HIT RECORDINGS FOR HER, SHE OCCASIONALLY WOULD SING ONE OF THE THEN CURRENT TOP HITS THAT SHE HAD NOT RECORDED. SUCH IS THE CASE WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG THAT WAS A HIT FOR EDDY HOWARD AND HIS ORCHESTRA AND FOR PEGGY LEE. HAD IT BEEN RELEASED BY DORIS, SHE WOULD HAVE BLOWN THE COMPETITION AWAY.
